On behalf of all the faculty and staff of Montana State University-Northern, I want to welcome you to one of the most career focused universities in the Montana University system. Our program offerings and multiple certificates and degrees are designed to meet the needs and interests of individuals wanting to further their education. The MSUN community comes in three flavors, Havre, Great Falls, and Lewistown. All three campuses are unique in their own way but there are a few special traits that all share... friendliness, caring, mentoring, and most important success. Friendliness! It’s important to know you are not alone in your quest to achieve a higher education at MSUN. We are a Caring faculty and staff who know the difficulties in starting college, whether you are a recent high school graduate, an older returning student, or a current student who may be working and juggling studies and the various academic and social pursuits MSUN offers. We are here not only to educate students but to serve and assist students in a Mentoring way that provides solutions to real problems, issues and concerns. We want to work with all students in creating and formulating their unique strategic plan for a life of Success upon graduating from MSU-Northern. As Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer I am very pleased and proud that you have selected MSUN as your new academic, social, and athletic home away from home. And hopefully over the next coming year we will have many opportunities to engage in dialogue about how to improve the university experience so that we may raise the bar in maintaining the spirit of Friendliness, Caring, Mentoring and Success. And again with warmest regards and wishes of good luck I welcome you...and remember, as in the tortoise and the hare story, consistency is more important than quickness....so set your goals, study consistently, and perform to your best ability.
