ITS Voice Services provides telephone and related services to the MSU-Northern campus. These services include telephones and accessories, the main campus telephone switching system, and an interface to the worldwide public switched telephone network.

MSU-Northern Phone System
The MSU-Northern PBX (Private Broadcast Exchange) is equipped with many features, including:

• CallPilot Voice mail,
• Conference calling,
• Call forwarding,
• Call transfer,
• Speed calling,
  And many others.

Long Distance Calling
All long distance calls are billed to the department. Business Services issues an itemized statement of all long distance calls for each authorization code every month.

The University telephone system supports the business and academic calls of University faculty and staff. Individuals should review their monthly long distance statement to identify personal calls. The cost of personal calls must be reimbursed to Business Services.

The University does not permit calls to the 900 area code or to the 976 exchange.
