What is the Learning Center?
The Learning Center is a place on campus where MSU-N students can receive free tutoring and general advice on coursework across the curriculum.
Who can use the learning center?
All MSU-N students can use the Learning Center for 'walk in' tutoring. One on one tutoring is only available for those students that do not qualify for services at Student Support Services.
With what courses can students get help on campus?
The Learning Center offers 'walk in' peer tutoring in writing, science courses, and mathematics. Contact us if you need a tutor in any other course.
When is the Learning Center open?
Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 5 PM
Sunday 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Where is the Learning Center located?
The Learning Center is located in the lower level of the library.
Do I have to pay for tutoring?
No, this service free of charge.
Who are the tutors?
The tutors are advanced, successful students who know what you are going through first-hand and are dedicated to helping you succeed.
Can I make an appointment to see a tutor every week?
Can I use a computer at the Learning Center?
Yes. Computers are available for students to do their homework, write papers, and do research on-line.
How can I get a tutor?
You can contact us by phone 265-3760, come to the learning center during the tutoring scheduled times or come by the office, Library 103 (lower level of the library)
How can I be a tutor?
Send us an e-mail to LearningCenter@msun.edu with a brief explanation about why you want to be a tutor and we will contact you for an interview.
