Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

To be eligible for need-based financial aid, you MUST complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1, 2006. Forms are available at your high school, in many libraries, at most colleges and universities, or you can apply on online (see link below).

Request that your Student Aid Report be sent to MSU-Northern (Title IV code 002533). It takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks for a paper FAFSA application to be processed. Application via the Internet takes considerably less time (click link below to fill out FAFSA on line). You must reapply for federal aid each year. Delays in receiving financial aid are often the result of late submission of the FAFSA.
