Bridger

Bridger Beach

Bridger was elected President of ASMSUN for the 23-24 academic year after serving one year as the ASMSUN Business Manager. Bridger has been a Resident Assistant since '21, is currently the Assistant Resident Director of MacKenzie Hall, and was previously a member of Northern’s Cross Country team. Originally from Kalispell, MT, this is his 4th year at Northern, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an associate’s degree in Automotive Technology. Bridger is a vehicle enthusiast, enjoys outdoor activities such as downhill skiing and fishing, is an avid cat owner, and an internal combustion (and electric) enthusiast. He plans to own his own business and work for himself in the automotive industry specializing in computer programming and electrical/networking/general diagnostics. As the Student Body President, he hopes to continue to work with an amazing team to build ASMSUN into the “Voice of the Students” it was designed to be.
Noah

Brennon "Noah" McDermott

Noah was elected the 2023-2024 ASMSUN Vice President and also serves as the Chair of the InterOrganizational Council (IOC). He was elected to a Senator At-Large position in the spring of 2022. Originally from Spokane, WA, Noah is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Diesel Technology. He has been a member of the Lights Wrestling team, a Northern Ambassador, a Resident Assistant and an ASMSUN senator. He believes his experiences at Northern will be an asset to him as Vice President.
Brailynn

Brailynn DeMers

Business Manager

Brailynn was elected the ASMSUN Business Manager for the 2023-2024 academic year. She has been active in Residential Education, in Residence Hall Association (RHA), as a Resident Assistant and has served as the Residence Director of MacKenzie Hall since the fall of 2022. Brailynn works as a student tutor in Student Support Services, as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Welding program, and is an intern with Wabtec Corp. Brailynn started at Northern in the fall 2020, coming from Jefferson City, MT. She is eager to bring her experience in management and supervision and her knowledge of the student experience at Northern to this position.

Olivia Fletes

Administrative Assistant

Olivia was elected the Administrative Assistant for the 2023-2024 academic year. In 2022-2023, she served as a Senator At-Large. On campus, Olivia is active in Chi Alpha and Professional Ag Students (PAS) Club. She previously served on student senate at Dawson Community College, where she earned an associates degree before transferring to MSUN to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She is currently applying to Veterinary graduate programs at WSU and OSU. Originally from Circle, MT, Olivia enjoys playing the piano, cross country skiing, dog agility and dogsledding. She has enjoyed her involvement in student activities and is passionate about advocating for student needs.

Hunter

Hunter Velk

Senator At-Large (Spring)
Hunter was elected to a second term as Senator At-Large in the 2023 spring elections; he also served as a 1st-Year Senator during the 21-22 academic year. He is a native of Havre and is pursuing an associate's degree in Agricultural Mechanics Technology. On campus, Hunter is also involved in SkillsUSA and Professional Ag Students (PAS) Club. Upon the completion of his degree, he plans to work on a farm or become a diesel mechanic.
Ian

Ian Flynn

Senator At-Large (Spring)
Ian was elected to an At-Large Senate seat for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is Ian’s third year at Northern and he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Diesel Technology and certificate in Welding and Ag Mechanics. His hometown is Wolf Point, MT and he enjoys snowboarding, playing Xbox, mechanics, farming and ranching. Ian is active in the Professional Ag Students (PAS) Club and has served as the IOC representative; he is also a student representative on the Parking Committee.
Jason

Jason Rice

Senator At-Large (Spring)
Jason was elected as an At-Large Senator for the 2023-2024 academic year. He came to MSU-Northern in the fall of 2021 from Plentywood, MT. Jason is currently in his 3rd year, pursuing an associate’s degree in Electrical Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Trades Management. Following graduation, he plans to be an electrician. He is a student worker for the College of Technical Science and also hosts a show on KNMC radio as a student DJ. Jason is the Vice President for the Northern Night Sky Association and the IOC representative for Chi Alpha. He hopes to bring his student club experience, energy and enthusiasm to his position.

Jordan Ketcham

Senator At-Large (Spring)
Jordan was elected to a second term as Senator At-Large in the 2023 spring elections; during the 21-22 academic year, she also served as a 1st-Year Senator. Originally from Great Falls, MT she is pursuing a certificate in Welding. Jordan is also involved in SkillsUSA and Professional Ag Students (PAS) Club. Upon graduation, Jordan plans to work to take over the family business.

Keanan was elected to a Senator At-Large position in the 2023 spring elections. He is a Havre native and joined Northern in the fall of 2022 in pursuit of a degree in Automotive Technology.

Olivia Isakson

Senator At-Large (Spring)

Liv was elected Senator At-Large in the spring of 2023. Originally from Augusta, MT, this is her 3rd year at Northern. Liv was a member of the Skylights Volleyball team her freshman year and has also worked on campus as a student tutor in Student Support Services. She completed her associate’s degree Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Distinction in General Studies last spring, plans to complete a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and then pursue a master’s degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Montana.

Aiden Perkins

At-Large Senator (Fall)
Aiden was elected At-Large Senator in the fall of 2023. He is in his 2nd year at Northern as a Business Administration major from Culbertson, MT. Aiden is a member of the Lights football team and is serving as a Resident Assistant in MacKenzie Hall.

Jordan Kittleson

Senator At-Large (Fall)
Jordan was appointed Senator-At-Large in the fall of 2023, after serving last school year as a First-Year Senator. He moved from Thief River Falls, MN to Havre to pursue a degree in Plumbing Technology. Jordan is currently a Resident Assistant in MacKenzie Hall.

Stuart Jenks

Senator-At-Large (Fall)
Stuart was elected Senator-At-Large in the fall 2023 elections. This is his 2nd year at Northern pursuing an AAS in Electrical Technology. Originally from Victoria, BC Canada, Stuart is an avid rugby player and enjoys hiking, camping and skiing. On campus, he serves as the president of the fastest growing student club on campus: D&D.

First-Year Senator (Fall)
AJ was elected as a First-Year Senator in the fall of 2023. Originally from Edwardsburg, Michigan, AJ is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Diesel Technology and is a member of the Lights Wrestling team.

First-Year Senator (Fall)
Garret was appointed to a First-Year Senate seat in the fall of 2023. A native of Sand Springs, MT, he is pursuing an AAS in Electrical Technology.

Kaiya Doney

 First-Year Senator (Fall)
Kaiya was appointed to senate in the fall of 2023. She is pursuing an associate's degree in Nursing. A native of Billings, MT, Kaiya is an active member of the Student Nursing Club and serves as their IOC representative.
