President: Donna Brown
(Northern Arapaho)

Donna Brown is the 2012=2-13 Sweetgrass Society student elect President. Donna is an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho tribe located in Wyoming where she originated from. She is currently in her senior year with her major in Community Leadership and a minor in Applied Agriculture. Donna is also the mother of three beautiful children whom she states is her reason to work so hard and continue her education. Donna keeps a steady GPA and is involved in the Sweetgrass Society, CIA (Community Involvement Association) and PAS (Post Secondary Agriculture). She is very active in the hi-line community by volunteering for many various organizations and helping the community as much as possible. Donna was born and raised on the family ranch in Wyoming and she believes that this is where her love of agriculture stems from. She has worked in the agriculture industry for her entire life with her best experience coming from working for the BIA in irrigation and also as working as an intern for the 4-H program at Stone Child College. Miss Brown's hobbies include rodeo, horses, cows, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Donna will continue her education and be the best possible role model for her children.

Vice President: Ron Kling

Ron Kling is the 2012-13 Sweetgrass Society student elect Vice President as well as ASMSUN Student Senate freshman). He is currently a junior at SMUN majoring in Liberal Studies with a minor in Native American Studies. He maintains a 3.44 GPA.

Ron is married to MSUN student and Sweetgrass Society member Annie (Choctaw). Before coming to MSUN Ron, attended MSUN Great Falls/COT where he was senior leader of the Native American Student Group (NASG) and an ASMSU-GF Senator. Ron is also a veteran and retired from the United States Air Force in 2007. He enjoys spending time with his family, attending cultural ceremonies, going to school, watching NASCAR and photography. Upon graduation Mr. Kling hopes to be an Addictions therapist/Psychologist and work either for the Veterans Administration or for one of the tribal addiction centers.

Jordana Mitchell is the 201-2013 MSUN Sweetgrass Society student elect Secretary/Treasurer. she is currently a freshman at MSU Northern majoring in Community Leadership. Jordana is from theChippewa Cree Tribe and graduated from Rocky Boy High School in 2012.

Brad Shields
ASMSUN Senator: Brad Shields
(Assiniboine)

Brad Shields is an enrolled member of the Fort Belknap Assiniboine/Gros Ventre Nations. He is working on his Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Design Drafting Technology. Brad is also an active member of The MSU-Northern Sweet Grass Society, ASMSUN Student Senate (Senator at Large), IOC representative, and serves on the Chancellor's Lecture Series Board.
