Knife River Corporation Donates $50,000 to MSUN Diesel Technology Center
On April 28th, Knife River Corporation presented Montana State University-Northern with a $50,000 gift for the new Diesel Technology Center. The gift was presented during the 8th annual TekNoXpo. Dave Zinke, Region President for Knife River Corporation's Montana and Wyoming operations, and Gary Forrester, Montana government affairs lobbyist for MDU Resources Group, were on site for the presentation.
Knife River Corporation mines aggregates and markets crushed stone, sand, gravel and related construction materials, including ready-mix concrete, cement, asphalt, liquid asphalt and other value-added products. It also performs integrated contracting services. Knife River is a Top 10 producer of aggregates in America, employs nearly 5,000 people during peak construction season, and has physical locations in 15 states and operates in 19 states. Knife River is a subsidiary of MDU Resources Group, Inc. headquartered in Bismarck, North Dakota.
"Diesel mechanical expertise is critical to our operations, and we appreciate the graduates of MSU-Northern's diesel technology program - those who have worked with us in the past and those who will work with us in the future," said Zinke. "We are happy to support programs that are critical to our industry and to the communities where we do business."

"We are pleased that everything is moving forward on the new building and we plan on doing a ground breaking ceremony on Friday, May the 20th, during the Board of Regents meeting which will take place on our campus," said Kegel.
