Technology Governance

The MSU-Northern technology governance structure provides guidance and controls the formulation and implementation of IT strategy making sure that IT activities across campus support the mission and goals of the university.

IT Policies

MSU-Northern maintains policies relating to the use and security of its computer systems, networks, and information resources. All users of these facilities are expected to be familiar with these policies and the consequences of violation.  These policies can be found in the Information Technology section of the Policies and Procedures web pages.

Technology Council

The Technology Council provides recommendations and guidance to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) on matters that relate to administrative and instructional technologies.  It's structure and activities are outlined in policy 305.2

Computer Fee Advisory Committee

The Computer Fee Advisory Committee oversees the expenditure of student computer fees. The policy and procedures for the committee are set by the Montana Board of Regents.
