MSUN NetID Password Management

Don't know your NetID?
When claiming your NetID: If you get a "matching identity could not be found" error message, contact the Registrar (406.265.3703) to confirm your SSN & Birthdate are on file & correct.
  • Everyone must set up a new user profile before the first time they use the tool.  You can set this up, and update it, anytime without changing your password.
  • You will need to know your NetID when setting up your profile.  If you don't know or don't have a NetID, you can claim/recover your NetID.
  • The new user setup requires configuration of challenge questions and also the choice to set up email and/or text authentication for future resets.
  • Setting up a new profile requires you to enter your NetID and then provide your MSUN ID/GID (-12345678) and Date of Birth (MMDDYYYY).  If this is not working, please contact the Registrar's office at 406.265.3703 to confirm they have the correct date of birth on record.
